The $2,500 Scholarship of Excellence is available to high school seniors graduating in 2008, who are children of active law enforcement, fire and/or EMS officers who plan to continue their education at a two- or four-year college. The scholarship recognizes an individual who has exemplified outstanding achievement in academics, extracurricular/employment activities and community involvement.
OBJECTIVE:
To recognize
and honor a high school senior who has exemplified outstanding achievement
in academics, extracurricular/employment activities and community involvement.
CRITERIA:
- Serves as a role model for other young adults
- Demonstrates community involvement
- Demonstrates extracurricular/employment activity
- Demonstrates consistent academic achievement throughout high school years
- Exhibits leadership potential
INSTRUCTIONS:
Please submit ONE
original and TWO copies of the application form and the following:
- A two page, double-spaced, typed essay describing your qualifications as listed in "criteria" above, including your employment experience, community and extracurricular activities
- A copy of your high school transcript or a record of the last three years of grades
- College entrance examination scores
- Your plans for continuing education
- Written verification of family member's current service to Public Safety Agency

Objections to the use of this information must be received in writing at the time application is submitted by certified mail - return receipt requested. Failure to send a written request to withhold this information authorizes The 100 Club to use this information for promotional purposes.
