On April 14, 2004 Trooper Anthony Larock was dispatched to a three car accident on Ridge road in the Town of Lewiston.  Upon arriving on the scene, he found one of the vehicles overturned in a ditch and fully engulfed in flames.  He quickly realized that the fire was so intense that there was no time to try to quell the flames with only a fire extinguisher.  With total disregard for his own safety, he entered the burning vehicle.  He first located the driver and was able to remove her from the burning vehicle and pull her to safety.  Realizing that there were passengers in the vehicle, he returned to the vehicle a second time.  He found a passenger and managed to pull her to safety.  Trooper Larock knew there was a third passenger in the vehicle.  Although he knew the fire was increasing in intensity, he again returned to the vehicle to try to extricate the trapped passenger. Despite his heroic efforts, it was not possible to save the third passenger.  As a result of Trooper Larock's bravery and determination, two lives were saved.

The 100 Club of Buffalo & Western New York recognizes Trooper Anthony S. Larock for his heroic actions of April 14, 2004.
