Hero Award recipients receive a memento from The 100 Club, a $500 stipend, and a medal suitable for either a uniform or lapel, which has been commissioned by The 100 Club.  The medals are approved by the department heads of all law enforcement, fire, and EMS agencies throughout Western New York.  The heroes' names are engraved on our Hero's Award Board, on display at Chef's Restaurant and our Annual Heroes Award Dinner.

Several of our heroes have been recognized by local author Frank Thomas Croisdale in his new book with a number of short stories on heart warming and miraculous events that have taken place in Western New York called Buffalo Soul Lifters.  One of these stories involves four recipients of the 100 Club of Buffalo Heroes Award; Captain Kevin Caffery, Officer Arthur Litzinger, Sgt. Patrick Moriarty and Niagara Falls Firefighter Gary Carella.
